Just found out I have an ovarian cyst?
I had an ultrasound today in which they found a 1" cyst on my left ovary. How hopeful is it to still be able to have children, and does anyone know of any treatments besides birth control? I want to get pregnant. My husband and I have been trying for almost 3 years.
Don’t get too upset. Some people have chronic ovarian cysts and still conceive. Do you have any symptoms of Polyscystic Ovarian Syndrome? If you look into it and find that you have it, it will open you up to understanding more ways to conceive.
Don’t give up hope, in any case!

PCOS and conceived two children with changes in my diet, no meds.
I think your chances are still very good. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), which causes many cysts on the ovaries. With the right medication and healthy habits I will be able to conceive. The best of luck to you!

I cyst is not bad, your chances should still be quite high. I have pcos and have more than 20 cysts on each and my chances are supposed to still be quite high, it may just take longer.

Most woman have them and never know it.
They often go away with your periods. It’s really not a big deal. I wouldn’t worry about this cyst preventing you from getting pregnant. Just keep trying and stop worrying. Stress can cause you not to become pregnant.

I get cysts from time to time (in fact, i’m pretty sure i have one now). They go away on their own within a few months. My doctor stopped sending me for ultrasounds, because she said it was pointless…they come and go, nothing to worry about. I don’t have PCOS, and still have regular period and ovulate every month. So as long as your still ovulating, the cyst isn’t going to keep you from conceiving!! My doctor says they are really common, and most women get at least 1 and never know!

Natural methods are really underrated. I urge you to not go for expensive drugs or IVF and give these methods a try. As someone said earlier, even changes in diet can help!
